Have the Kaenon Hard Kore with the Y35 yellow lenses and like them pretty well. They're lightweight for the size and are pretty big, offering a lot of coverage — these are not sleek by any means. I have a large face/head so the fit is really good for me.
The yellow lenses aren't very dark but provide great color contrast and clarity. You can also get them in the copper and gray lenses if you want darker. Kaenon's polarization is excellent (the best I've found) and their lenses are really clear and pretty good at resisting scratches. Their stuff is made to last and will endure whatever you throw at them.
These have a comfortable wrap design and sit really snug on my face. The grip pads on the nose and ear pieces do a good job of keeping them in place. These are truly active-wear shades both in function and in look.
One complaint is that sometimes a little bit of light seems to get in from behind the lenses, causing some subtle reflections onto the inside of the lenses. At first I thought I was seeing some tiny scratches on the lenses, but it was actually the reflection of my eyeballs back onto the inside of the lenses.
I've owned 4 other Kaenon models and have never had that happen, so I think it's unique to the Hard Kores and perhaps due to the lenses being frameless on the lower portion. It's very subtle and not a big deal, but it earns these second place rank behind my Kaenon Jettys for active-wear.
Overall the Hard Kores are winners. Lightweight, great optics, big coverage, durable, and they stay in place. Not my favorites but certainly not bad, and they'll get plenty of use.
