Very nice freestanding 3 season tent. Great for one person, decent headroom at the front where you need it. Tight fit for 2 people, but that's usually expected in a backpacking tent. The vestibule is a little small for 2 packs but plenty big enough for one + boots. Fly is partially clip-on (6 clips), part stake out (2 to 4 stakes). Use all 4 in rainy/windy conditions, go without the fly in hot humid weather or you will feel like you're in a sweat lodge.

I've logged in excess of 100 nights in this tent in conditions running between freezing rain in Massachusetts to the height of summer on the Pinhoti trail in southern Alabama. Sweet tent.

Design: 3-season, part freestanding, teardrop design
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: Easy setup even in the dark.
Weight: 3.5 lbs? (not sure)
Price Paid: $140

good 3 season tent. i was looking for a low profile, light backpacking tent. pitches nice and taut with the alum poles, and seems to be of good quality. setup is short and sweet. i would liked to have seen clips all around, but because of the small size, the sleeves aren't really too much of a bother. seams are factory taped. plenty of mesh and very light.

overall, i'm pretty pleased with the purchase.

some possible cons:

1. living space is about 25 sq. ft. this is nice for one person + gear. it could accomodate 2 people w/o a problem, but it would be snug. the tent slopes fairly severely from the face to the rear (even more so than similar tents of this type), so there is really only headroom right near the door. if you like lots of headroom, this tent isn't for you.

Design: 3 season backpacking
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: pretty easy
Weight: about 5 lbs.
Price Paid: $129 (REI sale)

Best designed tent around besides the North Face Tadpole 23. Basically the same tent. Superlight free standing tent, and i do mean superlight. Go and try to find a three pole tent as light as this. The tent has held up to severe thunderstorms, freezing temps, 30 mph winds, and has not collapsed or seeped water through. the tent has a nice 4 inch tub which ground condensation never gets through. tent is super easy to pic up and shake out sand or dirt. nice size vesutable. all poles same size, clip on rain fly, not stake down.

Design: 3 pole 3 season freestanding
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: this tent can be set up in a no light situation. all poles are same size.
Weight: avg 4lb
Price Paid: $140
