Kula Cloth

Pros
- Replaces so much packed in, packed out TP
- Works as advertised—and that's goin some!
Cons
- None I can think of

REI's page has a lot of enthusiastic reviews of this item, but I have not seen any on Trailspace.
As a woman who has backpacked, day hiked, and just plain escaped down any available trail for 50+ years, this is a must-have.

For anyone with less than ultra-marathon-capable internal plumbing, there's always been the problem of carrying enough TP for the hike and then taking it out in a somewhat sanitary manner. This solves that problem very well. I should mention that is also called a "pee cloth" and it works only for that. For the amount of TP I've had to bring on hikes and pack out again just for that use, it's more than worth it.
The anti-microbial surface works as advertised. There's no odor and it has the amazing ability to seem dry with every use. After getting back to civilization, just wash it out. It hang dries in very little time.

There are snaps that work to hang it onto a loop on packs, with the cloth spread out to dry, or close the cloth into a triangle for circumspection or hygiene. REI's site reviews said these are prone to breaking under misuse, so I've been extra careful with them.
It's so well engineered there's even a little reflective stripe so you can find it in the dark. Then there's the fact that the designs are so collectible. Already on two, looking for an excuse to add more.
Personal hygiene is always a delicate subject, but so many of the men here have braved it that I wanted to add my $20 worth.
