La Sportiva TX Guide

rated 2 of 5 stars
photo: La Sportiva TX Guide approach shoe

Technical, but not a hiking shoe.

Pros

  • Technical built
  • Very good grip
  • Breathable
  • Durable

Cons

  • Too narrow width and very uncomfortable for longer periods of time

These shoes are very uncomfortable for hiking, non-technical terrain and more than two hours hikes. They are targeted very technical, so don't make my mistake and use them for normal hiking. They are narrower than normal foot width, so be careful. They hurt a lot after several hours of hiking.

Very durable, very good for scrambling, very good grip and amortization, but not a comfortable shoe.

They are spec 'ed as normal foot width, but I would say they are actually narrow foot. Reason for the 2 stars is wrong width advertising and lack of comfort that kills all the pluses.
