I have had a lot of packs--internal frame, external frame.....you name it. I tend to lean toward internals on long, thru hikes and weekend trips, but could never find one that suited my every need. When I saw this pack I knew I had to have it, and now that Ive used it, I won't be using any other kind.

The Lafuma Landcruiser is the Rolls Royce of packs. It's a little on the heavy side at 5 lbs., but don't let that sway your decision. It's incredibly rugged, packed full of features, and is a great looking bag. It has more than enough room for everything.

I would list the fantastic feature but they pretty well have that covered.....with that being said, buy this bag...you won't regret it.

Design: Top-loading internal with front panel access
Size: 70+10
Number of Pockets: 8
Max. Load Carried: 80 lbs.
Height of Owner: 5'9"
Price Paid: Approx. $100

The pack is comfortable with a load of 35-40 lbs, adjustments are easy enough to get a comfortable fit. The inner compartment divider zipper could be stronger, and there are no elasticised wand/water pockets on this pack.

I know it is hydration bladder compatible but not everyone wants to put a litre of water in their pack (what if it leaks?).

With all that being said I recently used it for a short 3.5 mile hike and it was more than adequate for a short overnighter. I think my Gregory Shasta is still my larger load pack

Price Paid: aprox. $100
