A decent pack for light mountaineering/skiing. The front zipper on the top pocket is nice since you can lay the pack down in the snow to open it without accumulating slush on your back, and the beavertail flap's great for stowing your avi shovel or crampon sack. Its narrow profile works well for skiing allowing a wide range of arm motion.
It could be better designed for carrying skis though: The skinny ski slots need to be wider for carrying alpine width skis.
