Lowe Alpine Outback 60

rated 1.5 of 5 stars

The Outback 60 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best weekend packs for 2024.

Personnely I think that the outback sixty is not a very good pack.

So far the fastex has ripped off and most of the compression strapes on the side have begun to unstich from the pack side. Maybe all this is just reasonable to the fact that I have been doing some very heavy backpacking, but still I think that you all should know my pain and suffering.

Hey maybe Lowe Alpine could give me a new pack, posibly the new Contour? But then again I'm dreaming..... If Lowe Alpine Ever Gets this Desprate call of despair call me or write to me Mr. Lowe and we can cut some deals bro!

Overall, not too good.

I am thin, and the belt never contoured well. The materials are fine, but the concept and the workmanship leave something to be desired. When full, the side compresion straps do not work as well as they should. The pack works fine for me on short trips, but I have reservations in taking it on a long or rough trip.
