Lowe Alpine Rock Pack 35

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

The Rock Pack 35 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best overnight packs for 2024.

This is the toughest pack I have ever seen! I have dragged it through caves, tossed it off many cliffs from many heights, used it as a haul bag many times, dragged it up chiminies, dropped it (accidentally) down a 1500 foot talus slope, and dropped it down a 300 footcave. After all this, there is only ONE single frayed strand of material!

This pack can take a serious beating. I have been climbing with it all over Yosemite, Sonora Pass, and many other locations and it keeps on going. It is perfect size for really long day climbs and for light-multy day climbs. It works great as a small haul bag too, if you tuck all the outside webbing away and since down shoulder straps and hip belt.

The only thing that this pack lacks is a padded waist belt. But if you pack it right, you won't realize that the waist belt is un-padded.
