rated 3.5 of 5 stars I purchased this boots before the US military stared procuring them as issue in the mid-90s. I bought one pair, liked them, then bought a back-up pair. They are a great boot for heavy hiking. Around where I live there is not much for trails and the terrain is rugged and wet. The bush here (NW BC Canada) tends to be thick and the mountains wet and rocky. These boots lasted over ten years of heavy hiking. I cleaned them after trips, used good care products, and kept them away from direct heat like… Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars I work in these boots 10 hour days walking on cement floors. The boots have lasted me 7 years and now the soles are looking pretty worn. Can't even imagine the amount of miles these boots have on them and the abuse they have taken. The only part of the boot that doesn't hold up is the insoles it seems like they last 4-5 months then need to be replaced. Laces do wear out but can be bought through Quartermaster or made from static cord from R.E.I. for about a buck a lace. Full review

10" Waterproof All Leather Field Boots

rated 5 of 5 stars I got these boots used on ebay, but they were in brand new condition. if you go to see the whole list of features. These boots felt very sturdy and comfy right from the get-go. The safety toe is an added benefit as i can chop wood with these without being scared of injury. Hiking in these was a joy. They saved me from countless sprained… Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars These are the best boots you can buy yourself. I have had them last an average of 6-7 years with hard use. I have never experienced a problem with these boots. The Matterhorn is made by HH Brown / Cove Shoe company if anyone needs to know. Also you can buy them from US Cavalry. Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars I bought these in 1989 and I've been through seven sets of laces. They've been through an ocean of salt and mud, snow and rain. The soles are still in top shape, but I've just noticed a hole has worn through the heel counter on the inside. This has been an incredible boot for me and now I'm setting about sourcing another pair. At about $13 a year with laces factored in, I think I've gotten my money's worth from these top notch boots, and still am getting compliments on their appearance, (I've always… Full review
