Merrell Women's Waterpro Maipo

I bought these shoes to work in a swamp. I needed something that wouldn't be too heavy when wet and could cope with being wet most of the time, only being able to dry out a couple of times a week. 

However, after a month the string on the side of the shoe snapped so I couldn't fasten the shoes tight enough (both feet). I got them repaired but the only lasted a week before snapping again.

I am generally a big fan of Merrell shoes and I found these to be comfortable and were great for walking on slippy surfaces. Shame they weren't designed to withstand being so wet and the side strings which hold the laces rotted very quickly.
