Mil-Spec Plus 45L Rucksack

Very good military-style frameless ruck, comes only in black, green camo, and desert camo. This ruck is very inexpensive, weighs a little over two pounds, yet has tough cordura type construction and capacity of 3500 c.i. This frameless backpack has a comfortable padded hipbelt, padded, mesh-backed shoulder straps, and a padded, ventilated mesh foam back.

One downside is that the pack as designed only fits those with a very short torso length. To fit my 23" torso, I relocated the upper shoulder strap attachments to the very top of the pack. An added bonus with this modification was that the pack now allows full movement of head without interference with the top of the pack (can wear a hat without getting it knocked off, too). If this pack came in more color choices and longer torso sizes it might be really popular with warm-weather backpackers who are looking for something cheap, light and sturdy.
