I use it when I’m drift boating down rivers and camping several nights. It is so big you can throw a party in it. When it rained, we comfortably lived inside it. We stayed dry and could walk around as we wished despite my 6’ 2” frame. I wasn’t sure about the part of not having a floor, but it proved to be the best option as we could walk in and out with our boots on, mine being cleated. I purchased the floor, but may never use it?
I attached a 2 Bedroom to it. It has a bathtub style floor so bugs and wetness stayed out. I also used the Screening Room which added a ton more room. With mesh on the sides of the Screening Room, rain can get it, but we just moved back into the Boardroom. The wind blew, but the tent stayed completely stable.
It takes a little practice setting up since it doesn’t have a floor. It can get a little twisted around when unpacking, so you have to figure out exactly how to lay it out. I stake one end making sure the MSR logo reads correctly. One person can set it up. You wouldn’t believe the number of people who floated by making comments about this great tent. Well worth the money.
Design: Extremely sturdy and roomy.
Ease of Setup: Tricky at first only because it has no floor. Easy with practice.
Weight: Slightly heavy, but made for boating, car camping and the like.
