MSR Elixir 1

rated 4.5 of 5 stars
photo: MSR Elixir 1 three-season tent

Very good backpacking tent for 1 person!

Pros

  • waterproof
  • easy to set up
  • fairly lightweight
  • packs pretty small

Cons

  • could be bigger, pack smaller and be lighter

Very high quality tent, completely waterproof and very easy to set up. It is definitely a one-person tent as there is not much extra room, but the vestibule is great for gear if the ground is dry.

It doesn't pack the smallest and the metal poles are a little heavy, but all around a great backpacking tent. I recommend for anyone tenting by themselves on backpacking trips.

Background

My experience has been great with this tent so far, no issues at all.
