This bug repellent is bulletproof and so much better then anything I have ever used in the woods.

Pros

  • Repels just about any biting bug, they offer a guarantee it works.
  • Used in backcountry on AT and IAT in June, never noticed the bugs biting, had occasional bite.

Cons

  • The smell is little strong

This repellent has been around for many years. While it is hard to find, it is well worth the effort to get. Woodsman has been best noted for its effectiveness through its distinct odor.

Have used this when the all natural ones and the DEET 100% fails. I just carry this now. Woodsman outpaces them all and they will back it with a guarantee

Experience

Used on AT and IAT

it's the only repellant I have that will keep gnats and biting flies away. they used to sell it mixed with about 25% deet. I apply it along with picaridin, a winning combo. Worth noting that Woodsman bug dope is fairly smelly, heavily weighted toward pine tar odor.
