photo: Campingmoon XD-2F compressed fuel canister stove

This is the Chinese Knock off of the Soto WindMaster. I've used this stove extensively for the past year camping and at home daily.

Pros

  • Inexpensive at $22.00
  • Solid build
  • Lower center of gravity, eliminates being tipsy along with the wide wingspan of the pot legs.
  • Piezo igniter works every time and seems to be better built shielded than on the Soto.
  • The regulator does it's job flawlessly in normal to freezing temps. Did I mention how fast it boils 2.5L of 40 degree water? Under 3 minutes in 65 degree surrounding temps and no wind..
  • Being it's basically a WindMaster, it handles a good solid breeze much like the Soto.

Cons

  • The bag has some weight.
  • Waiting for your item delivery from Aliexpress.
  • I can't say anything bad about this stove.

I own the Soto Windmaster, and I've found that this is close enough to call it a great stove for $22.00 Aliexpress.

Never failed, the Piezo igniter works with one to three clicks.

And as with the Soto, you need to open the valve one full turn to fire it up.

Much Like the Soto, it will suck the fuel without any adverse effects to the last drop.

My cold weather testing was at 9,000 feet, my home location in Northern New Mexico.

Placed the canister and stove in the freezer for two days.

The Results?

Turned it on and with four clicks fired right up. I could tell it was laboring a little with the cold temp, but within ten seconds it was cranking out a flame to boil my water.

The stance is a little shorter than the Windmaster. The Piezo igniter sits vertical along the backside of the stove, to me both a plus.

Comes with the four legged pot stand and it is an exact clone of the Soto stand.

The little bag it comes in blows the cheesy Soto sack away. Although it is much heaver it's built like a mini backpack with a zipper and belt loop.

Being shorter helps eliminate being top heavy and unstable with heavy loaded larger pot.

All in all my everyday ongoing test has proven to me it is a true sold built workhorse, enough so that I bought two more for different size kits.

For the price of the Soto I can buy almost three of these.

I know some folks will go nuclear on the copycat infringements. Please just take the review for what it is, a review..
