The Scotty Bilge Pump for kayakers is an essential piece of gear with a lifetime warranty. I've used it during safety practice and to splash my friends. My oldest pump is nine years old and still works!

I liked my first Scotty Bilge Pump so much that I bought new ones for each of my kayaks. A bilge pump or bailer is required by law in Canada, and this pump is a great way to meet that requirement.
This model floats very well and its flotation foam collar has lasted me for years. I use my Scotty pumps in safety practise. They're also fun for when I want to splash someone during a water fight.
Any bilge pump is tiring to use for a long time. I'm not a big, strong person. I recommend buying the larger size pump at 21 inches instead of the smaller size at 15 inches, so that it moves more water with each stroke.
