Outdoor Research Men's Blackpowder II Jacket
Comfortable all-weather jacket for outdoors or just walking around town.
Pros
- Great casual look like a canvas barn coat, but all-weather performance like a technical jacket.
Cons
- Velcro strips on sleeve cuffs could be longer for more adjustability.
I've worn this coat skiing, and it's great for that with the standard google pockets, big cuffs, large hood, and pit zips. More often I end up wearing it as a casual jacket or taking it on city trips.
Because it's waterproof, and not too bulky it works in the rain up to 60 degrees with just a t-shirt underneath. Using it in the winter, it's good down below 20 degrees if you put a light fleece on under it.
Background
I've owned this for two years now. I've used it in the rain, as a ski jacket in temps down to zero F, and in mild spring and fall weather as a casual jacket.
