Ozark Trail 12' x 10' 5-Person Two-Room Dome Tent

First time to set up...with no instructions! How can I get some?? Three-connected poles....one fairly short with two bent joints...the other two are long. I have a handwritten note that says to connect all poles before putting stake in corners....hm..not working for me!

CONS: The material where the door and mesh meet is too tight. The seam isn't holding and care must be taken when unzipping and zipping up the door. Once that seam gives way there's no way to repair it, at least none that I can see. The other door has a zipper that sticks because of access material in the zipper's path.

Also, the tent leaks during a heavy rain. The covering that goes over the tent's top is too thin. It may be water resistant, but it certainly isn't waterproof. Any bedding touching the side windows during a rainstorm will also get soaked.

PROS: very roomy, lots of windows/light, easy set up and take down, easy to fold up and store. I am a 56-year-old woman who sometimes enjoys camping alone. With a bit of duct tape on the poles I can erect this tent myself. Very little assistance is needed when I camp with a buddy.

I love being able to stand erect in this tent. For the price I got a good value.

There is a thin piece of material that can be hung across the middle of the tent, thus turning it into a "two-room" tent. I've never used it.

Have you ever been camping in the high deserts of California/Nevada? There is a lake there called Topaz Lake and for the last two years,every camping trip there, a total of at least eight trips, we have seen rain, hail, lightning, micro burst, and this year a fire, and mini-tornados during our stays. One thing that has survived is our tent!

It has been blown into the lake on one occasion, blown around the campground on numerous occasion and during these escapades our gear, air mattress,sleeping bags and clothing etc...have been inside the tent. Upside down, wet, dirty and beat, but I want to tell you, it has no holes or problems with any zippers what-so-ever! Best tent we ever bought.

We may not be camping again for a long time at the request of our friends, due to the bad weather that seems to follow with us camping, but we know we can always count on our tent to come thru unharmed.

As a completely first time camper, the tent went up VERY easily. We did not have any rainy weather, so I cannot rate the waterproofness of it. We ended up in a HUGE windstorm in Las Vegas, the wind actually flattened out (not exagerating!!) the tent with every gust, this happened for over 10 hours. The support poles themselves held up fine, to my amazement. Only one of the poles that holds up the rainfly (the front door overhang) broke. Wal-mart exchanged it, no questions asked. I am scared to buy another one because of the rain complaints in the other reviews, but for dry camping, on a budget, with four kids, I would recommend it!

We purchased this tent thinking "Ah, the perfect tent, lots of room, will keep us dry." What a laugh. We could have sat outside in the rain and not gotten any wetter. And this is not just the seams leaking, but it was coming straight through the fabric. This was our first campout with it.

Fortunately we had a tarp with us we were able to put over the tent so we could "dry out." And you guessed it, this worthless excuse of a tent is going back to Walmart and we are going to go some place else to purchase a REAL tent.

I am a Scoutmaster for a small Boy Scout Troop and we have four of these tents. They are really intended for warm weather because of the large screen area. They try to fold over in high wind and I had one break a pole due to wind. Oddly the metal connector broke, not the fiberglass. The pole then tore through the rain fly. No less waterproof than most tents. It does need liberal application of seam sealer (on seams) before the first rainy weather usage. Bought primarily because of price/size combination.

I am a 63-year-old woman who enjoys camping. Often alone. I love my tent. It is incredibly easy for one person to put up, and tear down, fold, roll and put away. There is plenty of room for me to move around, and stand up straight -- important to me. The only time rain came thru the tent was in a real gully washer with hard winds. This spring I sprayed it with two cans of repellant, and sat thru a decent rain, completely dry.

I borrowed this tent from a friend. It is easy to set up- a really good size and gave adequate shelter in good weather. However one of the poles broke. I see this is a frequent problem. Also the door zippers got stuck a lot. The pole broke for no reason- just found it that way- it seems to be defective.

This tent is useless. The right side door, when you are looking at it, won't zip. The loop that hooks up the overhead storage ripped right out of the seam of the tent.

Very poor tent. Too bad my brother wasted his money buying this one for me. :-(

This has been a good tent. It is a nice size and is easy to put up and take down. The zippers do tend to get stuck a lot, but this is about the only negative thing. We have used it in rain and cold and would recommend it.

We use this tent occassionally. It has been blown over, leaked in on our kids. Now the cord is broke for the pole and you can't buy a repair kit anywhere. I'll stick to Coleman products.

First time ever using it and one of the poles broke. The other one was on its way to break. Tent was up less than 24 hours, and there was no bad weather. Just a bad product.

The worthlessness of this so-called tent cannot be measured. I could have made a better tent myself from a plastic bag and rubber bands! I wish I still had my receipt from WalMart!

I brought this tent last year and the pole broke. I took it back and it broke again. This tent is no good and I'm out my money.
