rated 2.0 of 5 stars

The 13' x 10' Screen House has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best tents and shelters for 2024.

Got the Ozark Screen House 13x10 at an antique store for a great price. Tried to set it up and failed. It had the wrong pieces and there were not any tie downs included.

This is the most unstable product I have tried to set up. Can not get in touch with company to get assistance! Absolutely no luck!

Pros

  • NONE!!!!!

Cons

  • No tie downs
  • Wrong equipment
  • Not able to get in touch with manufacturer

The frame is very difficult to set up and is very unstable. Worst part, cannot get in touch with company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've had this piece of garbage for 2 years now and haven't been able to use it since we purchased it. We set it up one day, and by the next day or so it was down. A mild wind came along and the screen house is so "sturdy", that it was knocked down and one of the corner braces broke.

I had to call (didn't have a website to order from) to order the replacement piece - almost $9 for one piece of plastic. Well, after waiting several MONTHS (we ordered it in June, the replacement wasn't in stock, it arrived in January or February), good timing for using a screen house in the Northeast. We put up the screen house again the following spring, and you guessed it, it was down the next day, with another broken corner piece. I think we've replaced FOUR corner pieces, and I'll have to order a FIFTH one!

As I said at the start, this is the worst screen house I've ever owned. Will never buy this brand again.

2-1bs and a 4 per leg, 1-1b and a 1 per gable, 2-2b's and a 2 per cross support. 5's make up the 2 canopy truss supports. It is that easy.

Pros

  • When staked down it is sturdy.

Cons

  • Poor sewing, 2 d-ring straps came off and one zipper coming unsewn at the bottom.
  • Velcro strips on the inside of the roof are not long enough to strap into place.

Overall we have had good success with this, other than the fact the screen doesn't quite go to the ground.

Got this product, it came with no instructions. Just like all the other reviews it sucks.

Pros

  • Nothing—can't set it up, don't know what poles go with what

Cons

  • No instructions

Got great screen house because I love camping and got a deal on it. Come to find out no instructions. Really can't figure how to put it together. Never again for this product. Really, who make something and doesn't put instructions in it?

I don't know why the other commenter didn't follow through. Once you actually get this thing set up, it is great. My ONLY problem is that I lost the darn instructions, and don't remember which pole goes where! This product, when properly set up, is wonderful. It IS stable, and weathers well. I actually use mine in the yard in the areas where my trees don't give shade. Had it up for about 6 weeks last year, and it still looks new. Great product.

Design: box frame screen house
Sleeps: 3
Ease of Setup: moderate, not a solo job
Weight: 20 pounds, more or less
Price Paid: Don't remember

I have found it takes two people to put this screenhouse together. I have two of them and the only complaint I have is that when they are up and you sip the doors shut the bottom is two foot off the ground. but for the most part we like it and take both of them camping with every time we go. I think you need to do some redesign on the doors, make them longer or something.

Thank you

Pros

  • Ozark Trail is a great company. Maybe it's the people that should take a better look at themselves and stop putting down companies like Ozark.

Cons

  • Spending time on people who read instructions any how

I have three of them. I've had them for 5 or 6 years and I have no complaints with this company and its products. Keep up the great work. I'll buy your products.

I used the instructions that come with the products I've bought for starter firewood in my campfire.

Initially I thought this was great. Easy to set up, worked great. Then along came a very mild storm and a corner connector piece snapped in two and we can't replace it. Company won't stand behind it either! Wasted $50 for NOTHING! I will never buy from this company again...any company that refuses to stand behind its product never gets to see MY money again!

Design: screen tent
Sleeps: 4
Ease of Setup: easy

Got this tent as a father's day gift. Decided to use it to go camping with my fiance and we were going to set up before we went. Guess what NO instructions. We put it back in the bag and said this is so stupid. How do you get a tent with no instructions.

Price Paid: gift

This Screen House was made so poorly it never ever got set up. After struggling to set up the poles it was made so poorly that the poles were so shaky they would never have supported the weight of the screen!!! I never took the screen out of the box. Product was completely useless!!

Ease of Setup: very difficult

Got the tent up with help.  We added  some stakes to tie down because it was flimsy/unstable and then after three days an hour of rain came with 15 mph wind.  Tent came down because central pole snapped in two pieces. Piece of junk.

Price Paid: $40

Bought 2 of the 13'X10' Screen Houses and there were no instructions no owners manuals with them. I would rate it if I could put them up...If I ever get them up, I'll let you know how I liked them.

Price Paid: $50

We unpack it and there were only 3 corners, useless. Had it about 6 months when we got around to using, so couldn't take it back.
