I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about hiking, camping and/or backpacking. This advanced hiking boot has traction that keeps you on the trail while providing comfort for your feet that would usually get tired when using a cheap hiking boot. The Gore-Tex protects your shoes and feet from the elements and environments that you may encounter.

Pros

  • Gore-Tex protection
  • Cushion for comfort
  • Vibram traction
  • Attractive hiking shoe
  • Waterproof
  • Breathable

Cons

  • It is time consumming to put on and take off the shoe.

The Bly Mild Gore-Tex hiking boot by Patagonia has a comfortable yet secure fit on your feet. Because the lacing system allows you to tighten your shoes a lot or let them to be loose, you do not need to worry about the size of your feet or ankles growing larger or smaller. Letting you customize the fit.

These boots are comfortable as soon as you pull them out of the box, but will gain flexibility with wear. The high rise of the boot and thick sole provides support for your foot and ankle. This boot is lined with protective Gore- Tex to keep you dry. The Vibram traction keeps you on your feet in various environments, wet or dry. It vents heat effectively for those who are going to hike in warmer climates.

The laces work effectively and consistently, making sure that you do not have to stop every five minutes to retie your boots. The Gore- Tex technology definitely lives up to its expectations; if you encounter some wetland on your hike you will not need to worry about your boots leaking and your socks and feet getting wet.

This product is well made and this is the most durable hiking boot I have ever owned. I have owned these boots for a few years and they still feel like new. I have used these shoes in various places in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as well as other parts of northern Michigan. I have used these boots while hiking along the Pictured Rock Trails, some of which are about 30 miles long.

I have also used these shoes while hiking along various river and waterfalls, such as Miner's falls. I have used these shoes mostly for hiking, but have used them for free climbing some rockwalls near waterfalls. I have used these shoes mostly in warm, summer weather. They have always held up.
