I'll say that this an outstanding shoe. Now, I have some unique ankle issues and it could just be that this is the only shoe that I've found (after going through countless others) with which I can walk without pain.

And, while this shoe is very comfortable, not surprisingly, the most surprising feature has been its durability. Most critical reviews of this shoe have cited its lack of durability, lamenting that it's not a very good walking shoe because it will only last a few months after heavy walking in Manhattan.

Well, I've had the opposite experience (though, I haven't had the chance to test them out in NY City). I've recently regained the ability to hike long distances and actually run on the treadmill, and I've been using my Olulus for these activities exclusively. In the last few months I've put some considerable miles (both on dirt trails and smooth surfaces) on these soles and they still look and feel like they can take an even greater beating.

I'm waiting for prices to dip a little so I can buy several pairs and stow them away.
