Patagonia Stretch Thermal Pants

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Getting to and from the surf often means missioning through cool or windy conditions with plenty of moisture in the air. So to stay warmer and more comfortable before and after sessions, we set out to build lightweight, surf-specific insulation that had just the right amount of warmth and weather protection. After plenty of experimentation, we realized that the materials we really needed-stretch boardshort fabric and thermal wetsuit lining-had been with us all along, so we took the best qualities of each and combined them to build the versatile new Stretch Thermal Pants. Moving easily with your body but tough enough to push through brush on access hikes, the 7.8-oz bonded fabric has an exterior face made from the same light, stretchy and durable 2.8-oz 100% recycled polyester we use in our Stretch Planing Boardshorts, with 50+ UPF sun protection and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that sloughs off fog, spray or light showers. Sliding on easily and insulating even when wet, the interior thermal lining is the same stretchy, fast-drying 95% polyester (51% recycled)/5% spandex inverted microgrid that we use in our redesigned wetsuits. Sitting comfortably on the hips, the elastic has a drawcord adjustment for a customized fit. Two self-draining, mesh-lined front slash pockets and a single right thigh security pocket stash any small essentials; the thigh pocket has a sturdy, noncorroding plastic zipper with an added zipper pull for ease of use. Fair Trade Certified(TM) sewn.
