I bought this bag in preparation for a three-week trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. I was on a budget so I took a chance on a cheaper bag instead of a name brand like North Face or Kelty.

I couldn't be happier with my decision. It got down in the low 40s and I was quite comfortable wrapped up in this bag. And I got a laugh when we got a freak thunderstorm that flooded our tent one afternoon. We strung a line and hung our bags up to dry afterwards. My Polar Pod was completely dry by bedtime and my tent-mates had to sleep in their damp North Face bags.

Only complaint I have about this bag is I am 6 feet tall and bought a long bag. It's a little too long. In retrospect I would have gotten the regular length.

Price Paid: $89

This was my first REAL sleeping bag and it was great. I took it up to the Blue Ridge Mtns on its first outing. For a reasonably priced synthetic bag it packed down very small. Even though the tempt. didn't get down in the 20s the bag kept me warm even after it had gotten wet in a rain shower.

I highly recommend this bag for someone who doesn't want to break the bank buying a sleeping bag.

Slept at 9500ft in sequoia park mid september, temps in the upper 30s but had to sleep fully clothed and was still chilly. Car camping in Canyonlands in October and still cold. This bag is rated to 20 degrees. Better to spend a few extra bucks for quality now ive lost 115 bux and have to buy a new bag.

I love this thing it really is worth the price. It rolls to a size of a shoe box and weighs hardly anything. Also, it kept me rather toasty while sleeping outside in 23 degree weather. This is a great bag.

I spent quite a few nights shivering in this bag. Basically, you get what you pay for. Definitely a good starter but if you want to be more comfortable, spend a few more dollars.
