REI Men's Zephyr 20
Lightweight and warm for its size.
Pros
- Very warm even down to the 30s
- Lightweight
- The pocket in the bag is easily accessible
Cons
- Doesn't compact into a compression bag very well
I brought this bag with me to Philmont and have since used it on a good number of outings with the Scout troop. Although it doesn't weigh very much, the bag doesn't compact down much smaller than what you'd get using a normal stuff sack, taking up valuable room in your pack.
The coldest night I've been in it was around freezing (30° F) and I was perfectly warm, even as a skinny guy with little body fat.
Overall I'd recommend this to someone who's looking for a fairly priced, light, and warm bag.
