photo: Salomon Raid Revo 15 daypack (under 35l)

First off, my pack differs slightly from the one pictured in that it has front netting and a drawcord, so it might be an earlier or later version, but either way it is an excellent day pack and value. Though the REI site said it did not include the hydration reservoir it came with a 2L Platypus, and the Platypus tags were grouped with the Salomon tags, so it appeared "factory".

As for features, it is expandable, I believe up to the 15l designation. It seems to be about 8l when not expanded, so if you are going for a quick ride or hike it is convenient. The straps are comfortable, hydration routing can be either left or right, and adjustments have a good range.

I dinged it the half star because it does not have a key loop or hook in the main compartment, and because the plastic buckle for the sternum strap is fixed on the left shoulder strap. It is fine for cycling, but when hiking it makes clipping your radio to the strap difficult.
