I used the jacket all summer for backpacking in New Mexico's Gila Wilderness and I was happy with it. It went on 10 trips and I probably only had to wear it five times or so. It stops the rain and breathes as good as any other shell I've had (Gore-Tex XCR). You sweat like a pig hiking up hill with a pack on, as you would with any shell in the summer.

It's light (17oz), but not crazy light like some, but I feel more comfortable with a shell that feels durable. The fit is athletic, with not much room foor heavy layers. I would say this is a good shell and maybe one of the best on the market, although I have not tried eVENT fabrics, wich from what I have read are supposed to be the most breathable, 200 times more breathable than Gore-Tex XCR. So maybe this jacket just sucks and I haven't tried that best! I dunno.
