The North Face Shuttle 30
The Shuttle 30 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best daypacks for 2024.
Five years later and still going strong. Outstanding day pack for the money and in keeping with the quality you'd expect from TNF.
Pros
- TONS of room inside
- TONS of clips, loops and attachment points.
- VERY confortable to wear all day
- GREAT quality (passed the longevity test for sure)
Cons
- TONS of straps to get in the way (sometimes). I cut back the ones I didn't really need to be full length. Others I wrap up hook/loops straps.
Outstanding day pack for the money. In keeping with the quality you'd expect from TNF. I've used it as designed to lug my board, boots, helmet and extra gear to the top of Loveland without any issues. For the past few years, I've been using from everything to day hikes with the family and Space A flights overseas.
This bag is Mega versatile. The board / ski points on the front work very well to secure sleeping bags and mats. Leaving TONS of room inside and quick access throughout. VERY comfortable to wear all day. We got stuck in a nasty storm on a day hike in Hawaii and everything inside stayed relatively dry (100% usable).
Overall - after many years of use and abuse - the bag is still in great shape - everything (zips, buckles, clips and hook/loop points) still works as they should.
