This cool lightweight waist pack has ended my vest wearing days! It is comfortable and stable with no bouncing or rubbing.

  • You can carry just as much stuff in this waist pack as you can with a vest—without the extra weight on your back.

  • Comes only in one color. Not really a con if you like the color Luminous Blue!

As a long time ultra-runner I have been wearing a hydration vest since they came out as I didn't like the bouncing of the water bottle on my lower back. The vest felt heavy on my back and the bottles always seemed like they would fall out—and it was a such pain to get stuff out of the back of the pack.

I wanted to rid myself of the monkey on my back so I ordered the UltrAspire Speedgoat 2.0 waist pack. This lightweight waist pack sits perfectly on my waist. There is no worry about rubbing or the ability to get at your water and food stuff. You can slide the waist pack to the front and get your gels and food out without worrying about tripping and falling on the trail.

I love this pack—the adjustable strap allows it to fit anyone big or small. It comes with two 550ml UltraFlask Hybrid Bottles that are very easy to fill. I will not go back to racing with my vest as I love this waist pack so much!

This pack can be used for any race distance and in my opinion will be a strong competitor for the vests. I have recommended this pack to my friends and they too have started using it! It is also a lot cheaper in price than the vests and in my opinion well worth the cost. I have two of them so I can come into an aid station and my crew just switches them out.

Love this product and have been using it since it came out.

Nice review, Tammy! Interestingly, I started with waist belts for some training and races and now tend to use vests/packs, but am always curious to read about newer waist options. How far/long have you run between aid with this belt and how much have you fit in it comfortably? Thanks!
