my newbriers are very well made i must say, the leather is very hard but at the same time soft. they are very good boots, if i didn't have them i would have asolo 520's they are also a good boot.
Materials: all leather " nubuck".
Use: hiking,outdoors,backpacking,just hanging around town.
Break-in Period: takes a good month to break in.
Weight: 2 1/2 lbs
Price Paid: $184.99
At first I was delighted with these boots, however the pleasure soon turned to pain! Both pair on the right inside heel (heel cup) had a severe "bump" or rather what felt like a couple of pebbles embedded in the lining; BLISTER CITY! This problem manifested only a few days into the breaking in period and never went away.
I must say $189 is way too much for these boots that I can't see lasting more than a season. Simply put, the boot should cost nearly half as much.
Use: trail/moderate load
Break-in Period: two weeks around town and what not
Price Paid: $189
