Wiggy's Liner Jacket

rated 5.0 of 5 stars
photo: Wiggy's Liner Jacket jacket

Inexpensive, super light, VERY warm, great for layering.

Pros

  • Thin
  • Light
  • Very warm

Cons

  • The pockets aren't large
  • Not super fashionable (better out in the woods or under a poly anorak or pullover for when it's really cold)

I bought this liner while picking up one of the Wiggy's 20-degree sleeping bags, both in MARPAT, figuring that for the price and given it was made by Wiggy's it couldn't be that bad.

It is a GREAT jacket for low 40s (active) to high 50s (not active) weather, and with a nylon shell or jacket on top of it you're good to below freezing. I'm sure it will help me take my Filson double-mac cruiser to below zero.

If you're looking for an inexpensive warm jacket, want the option of some military camo patterns (or even coyote or FDE), plan to wear it under a military field jacket for those freezing to low 40s days, or just for casual wear, you can't go wrong with it.

They run a little on the large side, but VERY warm.

Background

I have lots of jackets...this is a surprisingly good deal.
