Helium Friends

rated 5 of 5 stars These lightweight improvements on the original design for spring loaded camming devices are great for trad, alpine, and beyond. I began my trad career on Friends, so these for me are a great system to use. Overall they perform great on limestone, quartzite on granite. I am comfortable with all sizes ranges and I did find them a little tricky to get back into, but now that I am used to them again I find placements easy as ever. In large cracks their longer than average stems are definitely an asset. Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars Top quality tent, two can live in for an extended time without feeling cramped. Very stable, described as three-season but might manage four. All in all a great tent doing all the things you require a tent to do, provide shelter, offer good cooking space, and allow you to sleep in peace with adequate space to store your gear. Bought this second hand when looking for a new tent in 2011, now having used it on a number of occasions in varying conditions feel I obtained a bargain. Perfect for a base… Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a superb tent, copes very well in all weathers. Have had my Mistral for 14 years and it's never let me down. Brilliant tent, great all rounder in all weathers. Have owned for 14 years. Very roomy for a 2-man tent. You won't be disappointed. Full review

Lightweight Base Layer Top

rated 2.5 of 5 stars A mediocre base layer that probably won't last long in the market, as it doesn't fit well. I picked up this item on sale for $6 at Sierra Trading Post. I have not seen it sold elsewhere. I wore it nearly every day during the month of December, both indoors and outdoors. Had I paid the suggested retail price of $20, I would have felt this was a waste of money. The shirt arrived in its own stuff sack. This struck me as a bit odd and unnecessary. I appreciated the shirt's tagless design. Care for the… Full review

rated 4 of 5 stars Very solid 4-season tent. This is a tunnel style tent. Only difference I can spot between this and the Terra Nova Quasar is color of the rain fly and I think maybe an extra guy on the fly? This is another good discontinued product. I paid $120 for the tent. Tent is very stable in high wind and rain. 4 pole design. If you find one in good condition for a similar price, it will serve you well. BTW, I believe the retail price was $500. Full review
