Hiker's Guide to the High Sierra - Yosemite

A classic book with a good, but not great, topo map and good descriptions of the trails (if you can find em). I wanted to like this book, I really did. It fits in your pocket, it has short and easy trail descriptions along with a handy map. I was just disappointed when I actually used it in Yosemite because some of the trailhead descriptors were just a little vague, which doesn't help if it's your first time there. That being said, the majority of the book is very useful. The book does a good job… Full review

San Gabriel Mountains Map

Solid topo map. I know everyone today likes GPS but there is something about physically having a map in your hand that is beneficial to me. This map comes with "Hiking The Angeles" or on its own and is crucial for getting around those mountains here in SoCal. The coloring, trail indications and elevation lines are all great, a solid map!
