Pisgah National Forest, NC Fall Foilage October 2, 2013

I am from South Carolina and I  hike, backpack, golf, disc golf, kayak, wakeboard, snowboard. I primarily hike in Western NC, but I also venture to North Georgia, East Tennessee, Southwest and Central Virginia, and Upstate SC.

Since my husband and I first got into hiking, we have made it our mission to explore our country. We started out in Pisgah National Forest in NC, and then on to GSMNP and several highlights of the southern parts of the Appalachian Trail (Springer Mtn, Max Patch Bald, Hot Springs, more of GSMNP, Roan Mountain, Grayson Highlands, McAfee Knob, and Shenandoah National Park).

We've also been to Yosemite National Park (twice), Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, and hiked several areas of the JMT near Mammoth Lakes, CA.

In the summer of 2014, we went on a long road trip up the east coast to the White Mountains and New England. Earlier that year, we went snowboarding in Jackson Hole and on a snowmobile tour of Yellowstone National Park.

In early 2015, we road-tripped to West Virginia to go snowboarding.  This summer we drove across the country from SC with highlights being Nashville, TN, Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Arches National Park, and the Uncompahgre Wilderness in Colorado.

In the summer 2016, we road-tripped to Badlands NP, Mt. Rushmore, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, and Aspen, CO.

We have loved what we have seen so far!
