Occupation: attorney

Affiliations: No affiliations. I try to backpack twice a year, a spring trip in the east and a summer trip in Montana. At my age (68) and with "moderate COPD", I can't do serious uphills like I used to. Since I usually backpack alone, I can't stay out for more than 3 days as I'm unable to carry any more food. I'm retiring soon and looking forward to backpacking 3-5 times a year as long as I'm physically able to do so.
