About

Hiker and avid snowshoer. I love the outdoors but especially the northern Adirondacks.

Retired blue collar guy-ex NY licensed guide and EMT. Mentored two Eagle Scouts, one who is now in an advanced program to teach outdoors. Hunted most of my life, solo free rock climbed for years. I still hike, mostly off trail, and love snowshoeing which I usually do alone but am pushing it on many and have my grandkids into it too.

I collect American made knives/hatchets and axes and it seems like I collect outdoor clothing and gear since there is so much in the house which I'm still adding onto, the stuff not the house.

Am slowing down, but still loving the outdoors.
