Fairly new to backpacking and hiking, though I have extensive experience in the outdoors and camping. I am making the transition over from cycle touring, lightening my gear and updating my equipment, and so far am enjoying my time on my feet raising dust on hiking trails and not my behind travelling asphalt roadways. I just recently bought my first kayak and have added water to my adventures.
