ULA Equipment Pack Cover

rated 3 of 5 stars A well-fitting and extremely light pack cover for my favorite pack (ULA Ohm 2.0). It works as well as most pack covers keeping rain off your gear, but not as well as a pack liner. A lack of durability in the stitching and slight issues with pooling at the bottom in heavy wind and rain (like many pack covers) make this an average purchase for me and only used in combination with a pack liner for really wet trips when I have stuff on the outside I would prefer to be dry. While I always carry a pack… Full review

Gossamer Gear Hipster

rated 4 of 5 stars This is one tough fanny pack. It can withstand heavy use and abuse, and your sunscreen, camera, keys, or snacks etc. are easy to access. The Hipster is great for hiking and backpacking, whenever you're looking for a little more easily accessible pocket space. Ease of use: The Hipster is simple to use. You just strap it on as desired, under or over the hip belt of your pack, and off you go. The zipper never gets caught when opening and closing and the pocket can fit a phone, camera, bar(s), keys,… Full review

Outdoor Research HydroLite Pack Sacks

rated 3 of 5 stars The Outdoor Research stuff sack is a compact and lightweight insurance bag against weather in moist or wet conditions. OR does a fine job of considering the finer details of functionality in this well rounded tote. The waterproofing tends to separate from the material especially at the seams. The Hydrolite pack sack is a water resistant bag as opposed to a waterproof bag. It is not meant to withstand full or partial water submersion like a dry bag. The bag does keep things dry if left out in the… Full review

Hyperlite Mountain Gear Pods

rated 5 of 5 stars Want to have the best organized pack, ability to unpack fast, pack fast in any weather condition, then these pods are for you. Organization is so good that I only have four items in my bag. Crazy eh? Ease of Use: After time, you will figure out what works in each pod.  For my large pod, I have my pillow, liner, bag, pad, sleeping clothes and spare clothes. The smaller pod holds all my other loose gear, but I also have my spare socks and fleece in this pod. Features: Waterproof material with tapered… Full review

Patagonia Black Hole Duffel

rated 5 of 5 stars This bag surpassed my expectations. It is now my go-to travel bag that can be used for many different occasions. This duffel backpack bag quickly became my favorite multi-purpose travel bag. I can use it for the gym, I use for week-long trips, and I've used it on multi-day kayaking trips. I recorded a video because I wanted to show people that you can actually fit 7+ days worth of clothes in it (I have the 60L duffel), with some room to spare, which still amazes me a bit. Here's the link if you're… Full review

Eureka! Barrel StormShield Universal Harness

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Add backpack straps to almost any container or object, so long as it fits within the straps. For use with a gear barrel, Pelican case, duffel bag, small kayak, etc... use your imagination!! Grey front handle and back pad, LESS padding, and yellow shoulder adjustment straps distinguish this harness from the more expensive "Expedition" model. This is the cheaper of the two barrel harnesses that Eureka! has made. (Harness only! Container reviewed separately) Fit (10/10): Unisex, Universal fit. The… Full review

Osprey Transporter 95

rated 4 of 5 stars Great convertible duffle/backpack. Rain resistant and bomb-proof. TSA friendly. Check it in! As an active Scouter with a Pack AND Troop, I camp a lot. I've purchased different bags over the years in an effort to find the perfect bag. Is the Transporter the go-to bag? Not exactly, but pretty close. When my Troop went to Hawaii at Camp Pupukea, I looked around for a duffle bag that the Scouts could use regularly and was TSA friendly (i.e., lockable). After several trips to REI and beyond, I settled… Full review

Aqua Quest Trail Map Case

rated 4 of 5 stars A lightweight relatively durable and excellently waterproof case for your most important navigation aid—a map! It has versatile clip/carry options, large enough for a full trip-worth of maps, and can protect other devices like your phone. A worthy companion for wet weather trips with only some loose threads showing after 9 months of solid use - and Aqua Quest honored the warranty and sent a replacement. A one minute review... I was looking for a sturdy map case last year in preparation for a walk… Full review

Deuter Camera Case III

rated 5 of 5 stars Camera pouch which can be mounted on your belt or the shoulder strap of your rucksack. A brilliantly practical device which allows one-handed access to your camera. The Camera Case III is the largest in a series of camera pouches produced by Deuter. It is a wonderfully practical means of keeping your camera handy while walking. You can wear it on your belt or on the shoulder strap of your backpack. I keep mine on my left shoulder strap as shown below. The zipper is on the right, so I can open the… Full review
