Equinox Mt. Hood

photo: Equinox Mt. Hood closed-cell foam sleeping pad

The most comfortable pad I've ever used.

Pros

  • Durable
  • Heavy duty roll strap
  • Comfortable
  • U.S.-made

The first time I laid down on the Mt. Hood pad from Equinox, I loved it. It is the most comfortable pad I've ever used. I am comparing it to other closed-cell foam pads like RidgeRest (which I had for 20 years), and a no-name pad I got on Ebay.

The roll strap that Equinox supplies is of very high-quality and heavy duty, like the pad itself.

While the pad is only 20 inches wide, I have not found this to be a problem at all. It is 72 inches long, weighs 10 oz. and is 3/8 inches thick. The polyurethane foam is cross-linked.

I use this for camping, backpacking, bike packing, and general stretching and yoga. This U.S-made pad is the best I've ever owned.
