Eureka! three season

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

The three season has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.

This is simply a great tent. I've used it out in the snow twice, with tempuratures lower then 20 degrees, and stayed cozy. The Hi-Low ventilation system is great, and will allow for good air circulation on hot summers to bare minimum on cold nights. The side door positioning makes entrance easy, allows for one to cook to work just outside the tent door. The fly reaches out over the door, poviding some shelter to cook in. The inside of the fly has velcro fastenings so that it can be pitched without the tent body. It has loops to stake out guy-lines in high winds, though be careful not to set it broadside to the wind. There is anough room inside to sit up and read or change clothing, and because it is freestanding and has no vestibule, stakes are not essential if the ground is to rocky. I find all my gear fits nicely at my feet. It packed size is miniscule, and its weight is the lowest of the freestanding one man tents. It also has the best price for a freestanding tent.
