Jagged Edge Telluride Bib

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

These are super nice bibs for climbing and skiing at a nice price!

Essentially, all the featues you'd look for are there: full zips, well-placed pockets, reinforcements, integrated gaitors, etc etc. The fabric is a new w/b thing called 'Dermizax.' It is basicly a new gore-tex clone. I've used gore-tex, triple-point ceramic, helly-tech extreme, and a few others. This one's as good as any of them in waterproofness and breathability...

Best off all, they offer a better sizing range!! You can get medium, medium/short, large or large/short. This solves a serious problem that I (and I suspect many others) have had to deal with forever in the gear world. Most vendors only offer one inseam length for high-end pants/bibs! In the past i've had to walk away from some really nice gear because I can't afford to catch a crampon on a bunch of extra pant leg material that is balling up around my feet (with or without gaitors). The patterns they (patagucci, marmot, tnf, others) use to design their clothes must all be long-legged waifs. Hooray for Jagged-Edge for realizing that people come in different shapes!!!

I've used these now for skiing and ice climbing in New England for the 1999-2000 winter, and I'm extremely happy with them!!

On top of everything else, they're friendly and efficient to deal with; and have a nice web site where you can order on-line!
