Kaenon UPD
Own several pair of Kaenon sunglasses and they tend to run larger than their competitors' — which is good for me because I have a larger face/head.
That said, the UPDs are definitely a smaller model within the Kaenon lineup. The frames still fit me just fine (and oddly enough can even be worn comfortably by my 6-year-old son — they really are a universal kind of fit), but the lenses are much shorter (top to bottom) on these than on my Jettys and Lewis.
If you're looking for something streamlined and light, these fit the bill. If you want something beefy and bold, look elsewhere.
I got them in the Kiwi finish with gray lenses, and the translucent green frames look really cool. The gray lenses are darker than Kaenon's copper lenses and will do best in really bright situations. I prefer Kaenon's C12 copper lens as the most versatile and best at color contrast, but the gray is fine and preferred if you're dealing with really bright conditions.
I'm a huge fan of Kaenon — they're well made, their polarization is tops, the lenses are super clear and provide good scratch resistance, and the fit is more comfortable than any I've found. The UPDs are not my favorites of my Kaenons, but that's only because of my head size. All in all they're great shades especially if you want something on the sleeker side.
