A nice summer bag, light and comfortable. You won't get overheated in it, but you might get cold if it dips into the 50s depending on what you wear to bed. Lafuma's ratings are VERY liberal when compared to other makes, even the "comfort" rating of 48F. Lafuma has tiered ratings and this bag is often advertised at the mid-rating of 37F, which I would rate as extreme (their extreme rating is 23F - I would get hypothermia if I tried that). I've learned to use two bags--the One Kilo and another light bag together--for when I'm out in 30 degree weather, which isn't that often. This use has been very effective for me as it leaves my options open for when the weather is hard to predict, and still doesn't take up that much room in my pack.

I bought this bag from a backpacking discount store at the advice of the store manager. The bag weighs less than most bags, but it still keeps warm in most situations.

There are two problems with the bag. First, the stuff sack is made from a very light nylon, and I have had to resew it twice. The bag is too big to fit in the very small stuff sack without rolling the bag. Towards the feet, during our mild Southern winters, the stuffing started to clump up and it didn't keep my feet warm.

For the price and weight, the bag excels over other bags that are considered lightweight. It is well recommended bag for the Appalachain Trail, where I tested it many times. A good lite bag.

well, i thought this was a pretty cool bag for the first month I used it. It kept me nice and toasty warm (even if the bag DID get wet). However, the zipper has just fallen to pieces, so I sewed a YKK (the best) zipper into it, and now it's one of my all time favorite bags. So minus the zipper issue, SWEET bag, but get the XS Granite Gear compresion sack for it. You can shrink it considerably.
