Luxe Outdoor Spider 2

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

I set this tent up in my living room today. For the price point this tent is very good! It is lite and the stitching and materials appear to be good, the venting at the roof line is a good idea and the tent set up fairly quickly however it doesn't incorporate reverse combi design so the inner tent will get wet if you have to set it up in the pouring rain.

There are a few minor cons like the Velcro on the fly sheet is a bit on the small side and the pegs are too short for soft ground. Also the "O" ring pole assembly system slows down erecting the tent they should be a clip system. It could also be provided with a waterproof instruction sheet, but this tent is a no brainer to set up.

After taking the pros and cons into consideration I would recommend this to a friend. I will update this review later this summer as I will field test it in Northern Quebec in July/August on a two week white water paddle trek.
