After receiving this product I went and tested it out in the Adirondack Mountains. The season is winter and The temperature was pretty chilly. This jacket held up to the Gore-tex Pro hype by keeping me completely dry and wind free for 3 days of intense backpacking.

The fit seems to be big unless wearing a thick fleece or puffy under the jacket. I would recommend at least a 300 weight fleece for optimum fit. The pockets are perfect for storing various winter gear and the length is great for backpacking. I would not use this jacket for belaying as the length could interfere with the rope but it's ok for mountaineering.

I highly recommend this jacket for serious extreme winter sports. Enjoy!

Fabric: Gore-tex performance shell (pro-shell)
Price Paid: $350

This jacket is amazing. the pro shell is very breathable. It is a light jacket. The hood has a very good design an is well shaped. A helmet fits under the hood comfortably and the jacket has a high front so it covers your chin and mouth when the hood is up protecting your face from wind chill. Visibility is good with the hood up it can also be tightened to sit firmly on your head.

Overall this jacket is brill and worth every penny. Also the jacket is very hard wearing a harness can be worn with it on as well.
