Meindl Island

Bought these boots for alpine trekking, but did not use them in hard conditions yet - but few winter trails through snowy paths left very good impression. Comfortable, stabile and reliable on slippery surface. Finally the one who beats my 10-years-old hand sewed heavy leather shoes ??

Price Paid: $230

Light, tough and good in water (dry quick after fording or rain storms, and good hold in tricky conditions. Well worth the money. (Best buy in a top French consumer mag shoot-out in 99.)
