This pant has been my backcountry staple for the last four years. They began as my essential Euro traveler pant and as my adventures became more and more wilderness driven, these pants have been there. In fact, they have been everywhere and in every condition! From the cool nights of a French summer to swimming during the scorching days in the Greek Islands. The have scaled Yosemite classic climbs and backpacked more miles than most people walk in a year. Just now after four years of rugged abuse it will be time to retire them...and I will buy the exact same pair. Good thing that the price has gone down since my first pair!

Price Paid: $125

Without a doubt whatsoever, the MH Convertible Pants have been the best darn bping pants that I've owned. And that includes pants by North Face and Guide Series (Gander Mtn). After 5 years of usage, no sign of wear. Really impressed with all the bells and whistles these pants have: reinforced knees, seat, and crotch area; micro fleece inner liner, side zip legs with bottom buttons. The only other pair of pants that I would consider would be Rail Riders, but MH has won me over with their quality, durability and overall performance.

Price Paid: 79

My partner has these and I have the ones that do not convert. Though the fabric is a bit heavy for really hot weather, they are about as good as you could want them to be.

I have read a few reviews in the UK magazines and these trousers usually come out tops.

Everything a trekking pant should be and once again MH bring out a well-made design at the same price as the fashionable labels.

I lived in these pants for 10 days on a backpack Dall sheep hunt in the Talkeetna Mountains of Alaska in August '05 and they withstood all that I could throw at them. On some days the temps reached record highs and in the evenings it was upper 30s/lower 40s. It sure was a pleasure to have the zip feature.

Best hiking/BP pants available, period, and I have tried many! Light weight, fast drying, well made, highly abrasion resistant, plenty of pocket room, and comfortable. What more could you ask for? Buy them if you are looking for a long lasting and comfortable pair of trial pants (day hiking or backpacking).

Fabric: nylon
Price Paid: $75

Comfortable, dries quickly, lightweight, stylish, and versatile.
