photo: MSR Zoic 1 three-season tent

The MSR Zoic 1 is designed for the lightweight solo backpacker who appreciates extra space in the backcountry for themselves and their gear, along with breathability and moisture control, abundant views, and an easy freestanding setup.

The Zoic 1 weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces. It's 88 inches long, accommodates a 25-inch/63-centimeter mattress, and has steep sidewalls for more head and shoulder room and livable space. It features a full 15D nylon micromesh canopy for breathability and exceptional stargazing, the 40D ripstop nylon rainfly can be partially rolled back for more visibility, and the vestibule provides storage for your backpack and gear. The Xtreme Shield waterproof coating on the floor and rainfly lasts up to three times longer than other coatings.

To keep your gear organized inside, the Zoic 2 includes stuff pockets, a gear loft, and hang loops. For easy setup it has a central hub and simple pole design. It also can be set up with the rainfly and separate Fast & Light Body (sold separately) for a lighter weight option.

The three-season Zoic tent line from MSR includes a Solo, Two-Person, and Three-Person model and "is perfect for backpackers seeking spacious comfort and excellent breathability, all in a lightweight design," says MSR.
