Fabric repair adhesive available at wally world craft area and other retailers. E-6000 is a wonder product, right up there with Duct Tape. I use it to repair any type of fabric rip that would not be better resewn with thread.
It is a poly based glue that is very flexible when cured and waterproof, dries clear and is very strong. Kinda like a silicone but not slippery and way stronger (won't peel off). It seems very much like Aqua Seal, but more available and cheaper.
Pros
- Strong bond to almost anything.
- Flexible when curred.
- Clear, cheap, waterproof.
- Fills gaps.
Cons
- Smelly while curring, NOT FOR FOOD GRADE PRODUCTS.
- Hard to remove after curred if you get it where you don't want.
I have used it to reglue velcro wrist tighteners that have ripped, tent fabric, attached patches and repaired shoes and waders as well as wetsuits, it is smelly until curred and works best if you clamp the two pieces together and let dry over night.
Can fix a lot of stuff and is very useful.
