Good radio, could use a stronger antennae.

Pros

  • Charges quickly and easily
  • Headphone jack

Cons

  • Poor reception in northern BWCA

The large solar panel grabbed any available sun to charge it and I rarely needed to crank it to have a charge. That being said, we could not pick up any WB signals until we were almost back out of the BWCA on an eight-day loop near Sea Gull Lake. We were able to get an FM station near the Canadian border and listened to some of the MN Twins game, which also gave a forecast update and made my night.

If using in a less remote locale, this little radio does just fine and is fairly loud in volume for its size. Due to its light weight and compact size, it is great for preserving weight as well as room for a backpacking trip.

Had no issues with condensation or dew. The battery saves a charge for a few days, so if you're not in the mood to crank, you'll like this one. There's also a headphone jack if you didn't want to bother your neighbors.
