Outdoor Research Women's Microgravity Jacket
Outdoor Research says:
Further blurring the line between hard shell and soft shell performance, the Outdoor Research MicroGravity Jacket pushes the bar forward in rain shells that offer new levels of breathability paired with superb stretch. Over the last few years with its AscentShell fabric, built using an electrospun membrane, Outdoor Research has helped pioneer a more breathable waterproof membrane, which allows much higher breathability in a waterproof shell.
OR has won awards for this technology, including Outside Magazine’s Gear of the Year Award, for the Interstellar Jacket, a piece that was also named Best All-Around Shell by Backpacker. With the MicroGravity Jacket, Outdoor Research offers the next iteration of this technology, fine-tuning the membrane’s properties to extend the comfort range even further.
The three-layer MicroGravity Jacket uses a 20x45D mechanical stretch polyester fabric to create a lightweight package that achieves new levels of breathability, air permeability and waterproof ratings, all in a windproof and super-stretchy design geared toward alpine climbing and all-around outdoor use.
